Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee

Be it resolved that the Rideau Lakes Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (MHAC) adopt the agenda as presented/amended in the November 21, 2024 MHAC Meeting Package.

Be it resolved that the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee approves the six Heritage Property Information Sheets as presented at the MHAC meeting held on November 21, 2024.

Be it resolved that the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (MHAC) acknowledges the discussion on the 2025 Draft MHAC Budget as revised during the MHAC meeting held on November 21, 2024; And FURTHER recommends to Council that the updated Draft 2025 MHAC Budget be considered as part of the annual budget process.

Be it resolved that the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (MHAC) recommends to Council that the Chaffeys Lock Walking Tour be reprinted as amended, in a quantity of 5,000 copies at a cost not exceeding $2,300 subject to approval as part of the 2025 Budget process.

Be it resolved that the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (MHAC) recommends to Council that the Cemetery Grant Program be revised to increase funding amounts in 2025.

Be it resolved that the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee approves and adopts the Minutes of the MHAC Meeting held on October 17, 2024.

The Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee recommends to Council that more information be sought regarding the Newboyne Church Hall (the former Newboyne Brick School) located on a Designated Heritage Property; and FURTHER that no action be taken on the application for demolition at this time.
